about

recordings of a generative sound environment in an old ice cellar in Weimar. A generative program synthesises different layers of sounds that are algorithmically spatialised through a 6 channel system and projected into the aisles of the old cellar. They interact with each other, but also feed on themselves through a microphone that picks up the ever changing characters that are hearable. Recorded with Neumann KM 184 in Stereo (48000 Hz). Algorithms are made in Supercollider and based on early electronic music synthesising techniques. The sound figures are created in real time by semi aleatoric processes, partly inspired by Morton Feldmans early work Projections..
